Shinola has played a role in revitalizing Detroit by building a watch-making facility in the city center. Some important historical structures in Detroit were art deco-style. So I found 1920s vintage art deco-style’s letters. Based on the letter shapes, I simplified the line like San-serif and I drew a curve with straight line.
